Programming and Accessibility
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act - 29 U.S.C. 794d requires all federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility is an important part of the designing your site and should be considered throughout the development process.
Accessibility is another aspect of the user experience. Simply put, it's making sure your site is usable for all types of users. By making your website accessible, you are not only helping people with disabilities to be able to easily access your information, you are improving the usability of the site for all users.
