User-Centered Design is a multistage process that helps web managers and designers analyze and predict how users are likely to use a website, and test these draft designs with actual users a number of times before site launch. User-centered design lets you optimize the user interface around how people want and need to interact, rather than forcing them to adapt how they interact to the software. Kath Straub introduces User-Centered Design and its importance in creating a great citizen experience on government websites. Visitors to government websites want to be able to find what they need and act on what they find.
