Kick-Off Meeting

Use your kick-off meeting to discuss the business case related to the site, the vision and mission based on user and organizational goals, and the vision for the site moving forward.

To focus the conversation, get the team on the same page by noting any findings from user research you’ve done related to the site topic or analytics and testing results for existing sites. Discussion topics at your kick-off meeting should include:

  • The site’s audience
  • Users' main scenarios
  • Whether the current site meets users’ needs

It’s also important to discuss the business case and project plan, including:

  • Scope
  • Vision
  • Goals
  • Target Audience
  • Content

Discussing these elements opens the door to then begin the process of requirements gathering.
